Ball joint repair

If the above link proves a dead end have a poke nose with suitable search terms on the Merc Owners Forum.
Airmatic suspension struts had fixed bottom ball joints at over £1000 each 15+ years ago, some had success with a company who rebuilt the joint itself.
I never had airmatic, but the largest engined W124s bottom ball joints were an intergral part of the wishbone which made a worn joint a £350 part instead of the £13 replaceable genuine joint on the rest of the range, thankfully at the time Febi came to the rescue with good quality pattern part.

Is it one of these you're after? https://www.jrwadhams.co.uk/front-strut-3500.html
