Very little seems to hit this forum re the new V8 engine. Has anyone real world experience of it? Was considering this, and the new Russell Savoury V8 for a race car project. Thanks.

No one got any info, rumours or comment on these units?

Does the SR8 run a RST V8? From what I've seen of the RST V8 it has some reliability issues that are yet to be ironed out.

The Radical runs the Powertec V8, not the RST. Reliability seems pretty good now - most of their early problems were with the Quaife gearbox, which has now been replaced with a Hewland.

Thanks. I am toying with using either the RST-V8 or the Powertec in a different chassis. This chassis also uses a Hewland FTR transmission. I don't suppose anyone has any decent photos showing the adaptor between the FTR and the Powertec V8 have they? Cheers.
