Guy at work has a bright blue Monte Carlo, it has loads of kit and looks really smart, massive boot too for a C segment hatch. He rates it very highly.
Reminds me a bit of the Audi S3 Sportback I used to have.
If you value practicality and equipment higher than top of the range dynamics, it's a very good option.

I spoke with a friend who has a Scala 1.5t and rates it highly,he had a 1.0t Fabia before but wanted a slightly bigger car this time.
He said it drove similarly to his Fabia but of course with more oomph...
Reliability has been fine over the last couple of years and pretty economical.

Had one for a week in Spain as a hire car this year & really liked it.
Mine was the 1 litre with DSG, went well with just a bit of initial delay starting off compared to the larger engine. (My own car is a 1.5/150 DSG Golf)
Plenty of space inside and not too big on the outside. Looks like an estate car from the side but is a normal hatch.
Seats were comfortable and the tech was fine with CarPlay/android auto too. Handled well, and not too expensive to buy.
