A client asked me this:

"Is there any licensed software they have used in the build which would need to be credited?"

We are developing a CD for a very large and well known institute, in macromedia flash. Do we need to credit macromedia having used flash to create the CD? Never had a client this big, never considered it before.

Help, anyone?

If you have bought the Macromedia develope kit (or whatever it is called) you have paid for the privelidge of making the "presentation" or finished works with said product

Unless it explicitly says that you have to pay for the distibution of the player itself, then no.

MM Director used to require you to place a "Made with Macromedia" logo on your splash/credits screen, but that was dispensed with from Director MX2004.

Flash has never required any such logo. You don't have to acknowledge MM or Flash anywhere. Of course, a right-click on the movie will show it's Flash, but you don't have to do anything
