Just wondering if anyone has any experice of this,

Trying to ship a box pallet, 1200 x 1000 x 1000 with a engine and gearbox to USA.

I'd estimate the total weight to be circa 400 / 500kg.

The prices coming in at the moment are around £3000, does this seem about right?

By what means have you been quoted to ship it?

Air? Sea?

The buyer would be happy to collect it at a Boston Port...

This is from a small local firm in Birmingham:

By Sea to Boston Port only where consignee has to arrange clearance and collection from port (6-8 weeks) for £1350

By Sea to Door in USA 6-8 weeks for £2500

By Air to Door in USA 7-10 working days subject to clearance for £4038

Other quotes are coming out at circa 3k

DHL have always worked good for me for one-off international freight loads.

That seems a lot. I get really good rates with DHL for heavier pallets, I also use Concordia who are very good.

DHL wanted about 4k.

Any links you can provide to these services would be appreciated, I can only find a US to US based Concordia service?

If the buyer agrees to the purchase would you be able to sort me out directly with those sort of prices?

This company had terrible reviews on interweb, and the buyer would not like to use them.

Any other recomendations - Schmacher keeps coming up but can't actually get even a damn quote from them!

In the past we've been using https://www.equatorworldwide.co.uk/ for both bulky parcels and pallets and their prices were pretty competitive.
