Mr first TVR and its a Cerbera

So 6 years ago, i thought about buying a Cerbera, and never got around to doing it and buying the odd 355 gts and Lotus Esprit 350 sport in the process... oh and then losing all my cash, due to be far to young and thinking the train would not stop..

Anyway, now discharged from the bankruptcy courts and decided to go buy my self a Cerbera in British Racing Green.. picking it up tomorrow and not been this excited since picking up the 355...

After driving it yesterday, i can see what all the fuss is about and just wished i had done it ages ago..never thought i would see the day i purchased a british Car, who says we cannot build good things..

hi had mine now four weeks its an incredible car every time i drive it people turn round and stare unfortunately a lot of them are young lads thinking what the hells that our paper boy amazed me today he new what it was "wow he exclaimed a tvr cerbera,start it up for us mate would you please" which i gladly did that sounds great he said another tvr buyer in the making i reckon any way enjoy your motoring no doubt you will have read a lot of bad reports about tvr but like i say i ve had mine four weeks now and no problems in 1200 miles really to speak badly about no doubt i will get some but what the heck it well worth it, hope yours goes as well as mine regards andy cole

So how does it compare to your 355?

So picked it up, owner was almost in tears when i was driving off, was taking pictures of the car as it left...

Driven it the 100 miles journey home and what do i think....

Every one and i mean everyone looks at it....

My friend behind me said, its loud, very loud...

Very quick, as i just found out on the M6 toll rd..

Great car, have stuck it in my garage and cannot stop looking at it...

Compared to the 355, well 355 hopefully it will not end up same way,(wrapped around a tree) but , considering the price difference , the only difference i see, is ferrari badge, and ferrari scream, i actually find the TVR nicer to drive..in fact it reminds me a lot of the Lotus 350 sport i had, which i always prefered to the ferrari anyway..

Steering is amazing, brakes feel like the first single seater formula ford i ever sat in, in fact they are so solid, i just moved the ML and didnt think the breaks were working..

Congrats on the purchase, and welcome to the fold! The grins never stop Guess you'll be doing some driving today then? Most of us spent a few grand on petrol in the first week of ownership Except nick who doesnt take his out much because he cant park

Any idea whether yours has been decatted, or has sports pipes? They're very loud as standard but significantly louder and pop and bang immesurably more with decat pipes

I assume you know the routine, warming her up very gently etc before giving it large potatoes etc.

It's funny, I've just had to bow out of Cerb ownership thanks to ankle biters, and now drive an M5 - everyone raves about the BMW handling, power, performace etc, but to me it just feels dull and anaesthetised after the Cerb. There's nothing quite like it, and I can't wait to return!

Sums it up perfectly, almost think that all cars should have a little sticker (perhaps by the chassis mod one) warning people that this is what to expect.

we've had ours since March, but I've only recently started driving it, and it's great
When I overtake in the Focus (2.0) it seems to take forever, but in the cerb, just a little extra pressure and you've shot by without even realising it... it's a great feeling all that power

And yeah, you get lots of remarks, always good, not had a bad one yet
