slow puncture at the rim
Discussion
I bought some secondhand alloys for my Saab. All good apart from one has a slow puncture.
Dunked it in some water to find that it is leaking air at one point of the circumference of where the tyre sits against the rim of the wheel.
Can I fix this? Maybe something like Goop? or deflating the tyre and putting some sort of sealant in where it is leaking?
They tyre is almost new, so don't want to chuck it if I don't have to.

best way would be get a tyre center to remove the tyre , take it all home and wire wheel the inner bead of the wheel then repaint it for a lasting fix
some tyre centers will pop the tyre off and give it a quick clean then add some sealant if you prefer to let someone else do it , will only get the bare minimum of effort though

The tyre shop I use go round the rims with a wizzy wire brush thing to clean back any corrosion on the rims every time they fit a tyre. Never had a leak. take it to an independent tyre shop and If you ask to have the fault fixed they will fix it, especially if you tell what the fault is, and how you found it.some tyre centers will pop the tyre off and give it a quick clean then add some sealant if you prefer to let someone else do it , will only get the bare minimum of effort though
