Can any body let me why the 2 on Bentley " Old Number 2 " is joined up, looped together ??

Its just the font. 1 and 9 are also odd. I think its called "les rostbif" font

Nothing to add other than to point out the '22' on Nick Mason's ex-Le Mans 250GTO has the same style of number font, must have been used for a number of years!
