Renewing car insurance and found only a couple of price comparison sites are offering anything like reasonable deals.

The others are all starting considerably higher like 200 quid pa more, this is odd to me as they all are usually fairly similar.

Any idea what is going on there?

I've usually found the meercat and gocompare to be within a few pounds of one another. I've usually therefore just chosen whichever was offering best incentive, free voucher, coffee or whatever. This year I also found even the same product at quite different prices. On our second car I left it really really late
as we were debating a change and had never been aware before just how much difference that makes. It increased about 20% by the time we'd got to a few days from renewal.

On our main car I did find one advantage of age and found Saga 25% cheaper than anything else on comparison sites. I'd happily deduct a few years and give the saving back though smile

it is rather odd I know. I will yearly trawl through literally all of them, Direct Line, Hastings, Admiral all the ones you see advertised and ALL the comparison sites. They usually win out but invariably there is one that has a good deal, this year the four main comparison sites two are close the other two are both 2000 quid more cheapest deal.

just seems very odd, almost as if I entered the wrong data,m but I didnt!
