Contact for AM customer service-dealer issues, help welcomed
Discussion
Afternoon all, bought a DB11 back in March which I really love, what I’m not loving is the dealers/ servicing attitude to warranty work and the passing of the buck. Does anyone have contact details for anyone useful at AM HQ who would be able to discuss with me?
Examples are - brake squeal - this is hideous and I know it’s a known issue, but dealership who I purchased from took car back after a short period to strip and reset the brakes. Has returned with a vengeance despite undertaking the advice given. Has gone to dealer 2 for its service ( had car 6 months and only done 1300 miles)
For info, I’m not taking it back to the dealer I purchased it from as it’s a lot further from me and I don’t want to put lots of miles on unnecessarily. Dealer 2 now tell me that the brake pads are “crumbling” and need replacement and can’t do anything about the squeal. Now I appreciate this is a wear and tear item, but after 1300 miles?? When they were “fine and plenty of life” only a few months ago?
Another example- leather is peeling away from the rear parcel shelf. Dealer 2 say dealer 1 won’t pay for repair. Surely it’s warranty irrespective??
There are more examples of this and it’s really getting on my nerves, surely warranty is warranty, and I shouldn’t be expected to take my car 80 miles away to the supplying dealer when I have one 25 miles away? Any advice welcomed!!!

As I am an imminent DB11 owner, the brake squeal is a concern. I found this resource (its US but I think it will apply to UK also) with links to various AM service bulletins about brake squeal on the DB11.

Regarding your warranty, is it a Timeless Warranty or a dealer warranty?
How old is the car?

I feel your pain, brake squeal is really annoying and a bit embarrasing in built up areas. The CCBs on the DB9 I am trading always resume the squeal after a few days of driving it after a wash. A lot of low speed driving exacerabates the issue.
I thought that with the DB11, owners have had success with anti squeal paste on the back of the pads or changing the pads for non OE ones? (Hopefully someone with an 11 will interject....)

There is no factory fix entirely to guarantee no squeal, there is updated pads but even then...most just move to the aftermarket pads which the name escapes me right now.
I do know some of the issues, but all I will say is "supplier" to AM and inconsistent quality.
Regarding the leather, it won't be covered under timeless warranty as all "trim" is excluded from post factory warranties like any other car company. Therefore you are down to goodwill.
Regarding mileage between dealers, it is sort of your choice to go further away to another dealer. I do similar, but choose to take advantage of their lorry instead, some of the time. Some do free collection and delivery within certain mileages as well.
