Link Group Asset Trace... any experience of them?
Discussion
I've had a letter from linkgroup.eu saying that I have some unclaimed dividends from some ITV shares I owned back in 2016.
Letter says to go to website and enter reference number to get details, but my suspicions were raised when I get a "Can't process claim online, call us" messgage. Buried in the Ts & Cs is mention of an administration fee. Reviews on TrustPilot are pretty ropey (putting it mildly): https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/linkgroup.eu
Liklihood of this being legit? Anyone got experience with them?

They're legitimate. Fees for tracking down abandoned dividends are likely to be pricey, but likely that's your only option to get any of the money isn't it?
Not really. With a bit of sleuthing it should be relatively straightforward to find the company acting as registrar for ITV and get the money in exchange for a small fee for reissuing any dividend cheque.

Aren't Link the likely registrars? With a bit of sleuthing it should be relatively straightforward to find the company acting as registrar for ITV and get the money in exchange for a small fee for reissuing any dividend cheque.

Link is not the registrar for any of my shares. I guess it might be a subsidiary of one of them but it would be a pretty poor show if it is the registrar to try to dun shareholders out of their money for this ‘service’ if it’s that easy to find them. Anyway, whoever they are, simply applying in your own name for a reissue to the registrar will cost less.
EDIT - so a quick google does indeed have Link as registrar for ITV shares. I’d still suggest that the OP apply direct to the registrar. There is no need to pay this company.
I do also wonder what the GDPR implications are of passing on private financial information from one company to another (even if within the same ownership).
