Trying to get my head round the grantee/nominee situation. It seems that a personally owned plate assigned to a car with another registered keeper effectively becomes theirs?

I’ve not had a company car before but am I right in thinking that a “contract purchase” company van will have an individual down as the registered keeper. So if I put my personally owned plate onto the company van of which I’m registered keeper, there is no risk of losing the plate (it’s still under my control)?

Appreciate any advice smile

Have put my plate on my lease cars for years. The lease company deliver it on a normal plate, you send the application and they confirm when it’s done. At the end you ask them to take it off a few weeks before the car goes back and they send it back (I hit the certificate direct from DVLA last time).

The company is owned by me and another. Both will have company vehicles and these will be daily drivers.
