Hi guys, so a few questions for you all. I’ve decided that I may end up buying a facelifted MY24 Gulia QV.

I’ve never had one before, but I’m wanting this as a ‘special’ weekend car therefore which colour pops the most? Etna Red or Montreal Green?

Also what mods would you recommend on the car to make it look & sound extra special? Wheels? Spoiler upgrade? Anything else?

Would love some opinions please!

Well, I have just specified one in Montreal Green with exposed carbon roof, lightweight wheels, red calipers and an akrapovic sports exhaust. I had considered Etna Red but thought it appeared a bit orange (my other car is Fire Orange and it would probably have clashed). I haven't seen Montreal Green in the wild but in the showroom it had me a first glance. Now the agonising wait for delivery starts..

Did you get a good deal if you don’t mind me asking? Seem to be a few new/stock ones about with a discount.

They're the MY23 with 9.9% Apr (if you're financing through the dealer).

Would be good to know what kind of % discount was obtained, though the ship has sailed for me ... Ordered another car since my go-to Alfa dealer who I've bought a QF from before couldn't be bothered to even put a quote together.

Sounds good, hope you enjoy it!

The discounts I’ve seen have been on stock cars. Some have been pre reg and some new stock so that obviously means you can’t spec to your requirements.

There are a number of discounted pre-facelift cars available but I wanted a facelift 2024 car. My experience suggests that discounts are hard to come by and pretty modest but my dealer has gone the extra mile to make my deal happen. Other dealers are available but not necessarily as keen to do business or just plain lazy.

This was my experience. No interest in quoting or helping, and I wasn't going to keep pushing just to get a quote.

Bought an M340i touring instead as I got a good deal ... I've had two Quadrifoglios so I know what I'm missing out on, but from what I understand the prices (and discounts) make it a lot more expensive than the last time I had one.

Stellantis and Alfa dealers themselves don't do themselves any favours with the brand, so maybe I dodged a bullet with the number of dealers disappearing.

Ah, my bad and makes sense. I am looking for a second hand car and came across some new/nearly new with large discounts. The older cars don’t seem too good value at the moment, which is bad for me but good for someone buying new!!

ETA: I think the last few years has been very easy for dealers, they didn’t have to work to hard to sell cars or offer many discounts. That might be changing now and maybe some dealers are quicker to react than others, and some probably just aren’t that great
