Best "wild" camping spots
Discussion

OK folks as its always a bit quiet here at this time of year, anyone fancy sharing their best and nit secret wild camping or pub stopover spots?
I'm lucky, I'm a motorhome dealrr in South devon and 2 or 3 times a week pop off.for an overnighter between work in my usefully stealthy camper.
Prefer by the sea so I can fish, tonight is exmouth seafront marvellously allowed by the lifeboat station for £11 for 24 hours if only everywhere was as motorhome friendly
Where's your best spots?

I love “wilding”. Don’t tend to share locations if I can avoid it just so the best places don’t get overcrowded. But happy if anyone wants to PM me to share the coordinates.
Below a mixture of places around Scotland; mainly the NW part of the NC500.
Did try and upload some from France and Skye but doesn’t appear to have worked.

I'm looking forward to some wild camping next month. I'm in for back surgery today so fingers crossed.
I will be heading up to Knapdale and Loch Awe. Once I'm there I don't intend to see anyone unless I need to grasp some supplies mid trip.
I will be living off the land as much as I can and will set up a small camp and spend roughly a week at each location.
I can just imagine the sea trout and pike dinners now with a bit of shellfish thrown in for good measure., there may even be the pp odd grey squirrel or rabbit. Might even start a thread.

Apologies for heading slightly off-topic, but can you drive that on a car licence? Just started looking at motorhomes.Below a mixture of places around Scotland; mainly the NW part of the NC500.

Yes, I have C1 grandfathered as I passed my test in 1996. Anything post 1997 means another test to drive >3.5t, unless you believe the Gov rhetoric that they're going to abolish the current rules and bring back in an automatic right to drive up to 7.5t on a standard car license.
That rig is 6,990kg plated MGW. Don't have it anymore, but driving around in a 3.9t Knaus BoxDrive 600XL so we have an issue now that my wife needs to do her C1 or have the above wait and see where it all teases out.

Sorry, but it's not 'wild camping' when you arrive in a bus. It's just sleeping in a layby or car park.
Here's one from this summer. Nearest road, 7km away.

Fresh water on one side, the North Atlantic on the other.
That looks a cracking spot, exactly to the sort of place I'm looking for in November. Here's one from this summer. Nearest road, 7km away.

My November trip will hopefully go ahead. Planning on not getting the tent out of the bag and building a couple of shelters to sleep in.
Not done it for a couple of years due to injuries, but hopefully I'm not too rusty.
It's a shame I've missed bilberry and mackerel season.

It's not wild camping in any shape or form - is roadside and carpark camping.
And I don't share the good spots because then I have them to myself, and I don't find other folk have used the bushes for the loo and dumped a bag of rubbish behind when they go...
This. Social media is killing anywhere decent! Never share good spots online. And I don't share the good spots because then I have them to myself, and I don't find other folk have used the bushes for the loo and dumped a bag of rubbish behind when they go...
