The Sphere looks incredible - I was invited to go to that gig but I'm busy (and not a U2 fan) and didn't think think it would be "all that" - do I regret my decision? Yes!

Looks awesome and a total distraction from the band and the music.

Disappointed, but not surprised that they took a Las Vegas residency,
I can understand sell outs like Aerosmith, Journey and Def Leppard but I thought U2
at their Irish core had a vestige of old fashioned rebellious Rock n Roll DNA.

U2 have been about the $$$$ for some time now

If there is a 'residency' at the Sphere (not heard that tbh) then fair play to them. That place will sell out for decades regardless of the music flavour

There are plans afoot to build a sphere in the UK, probably get blocked by planning departments though.

As for the gig, the sphere looks amazing it will move visuals on no end for concerts now. However, Bono's voice has gone, I watched a few songs on YT and some of them he really does sound shocking unfortunately.

The visuals looks great, the band sound great, Bono sounds terrible.

If we do get a Sphere in the UK it should be banned from displaying lights on the outside.

My only concern is that it makes the concert experience a bit too clinical.

I used to be a massive U2 fan around the time of Achtung Baby ,and thought it was such an exciting time with so much energy by the band. I was at several of the concerts and even managed to work on the show in New Zealand when I was travelling , a great experience. The clips of the Sphere to my mind are of a very flat performance with little heart at the core. I know that phone footage can be misleading but in this case aside from the wow factor of the visuals initially it looks like an under par tribute act on stage with an out of tune Bono lookalike at the helm.

Two things;

1. It feels like U2 are winding down setting up in Vegas
2. Nothing new, but Bono is a hypocrite

One of the classic albums and one of the few albums that I think is "complete" in that I never skip a track.
