Any experience of Turo as a guest in the UK?

Hello people,
I'd like to drive different cars than my own and there are some interesting performance cars on Turo (M3, Tesla M3 performance etc).
But I'm worried about the experience and liability. For example, a new host (with no trips done) advertising a BMW M3 for a very low price (it is outside of London though), is this realistic?
Also not sure about they're 'insurance' (which is not an actual insurance but a contract, which I think means it's not under the normal insurance oversight in the UK), to reduce your access to £250 they want to charge 80% of the trip cost... Also they don't cover 'mechanical damage'...?

What do you think? Is there perhaps a proper way to hire 'interesting' cars for a day or so?

Yes those reviews are terrible, but at the same time you can see lots of good reviews and cars that had 30+ positive journeys etc... It's usually the people who have bad experiences that comment on them. So I'm interested in real people's experience (here), especially on the performance car angle.
