Hi all,

I feel very lucky to have just taken delivery of a nearly new 992 GTS Coupe. It feels so good to be back in the Porsche family after 10 years away!

I've a question to those of you with a 992 GTS or a 992 with the Sport Design front bumper. The car arrived with a number plate screwed directly into the bumber (no number plate holder). It doesn't look quite right and I'm wondering what others have done with their front plate?

I'm debating purchasing the OEM number plate bracket or go for a vinyl plate (in hope the existing 4 drilled holes aren't visible).

Any thoughts, including if you went vinyl, what size and where from would be really helpful!

I was given 3 options by my OPC before I took the car - plinth, screwed straight to the bumper or a stick on plate.
I toyed with the sticker plate but have seen a few that did not look quite right so went with the good ol’ fashioned plinth. I’d rather have no front plate but unfortunately that’s not an option.

Rick at Highgate House Vehicle Graphics will provide a fantastic service if you want a vinyl number plate. The website looks like something from the 1980’s, but the products are great.

I got the dealer to stick the number plate directly to the bumper. Looks much better than the plinth, especially because it is a five digit plate.

The plinth acts as a buffer for anyone reversing into you - to a degree admittedly but it can help.
