Just got this press release

It might just be the most unusual offering at the British International Motor Show and it's attracting plenty of attention. It's called Toastabag, and the nifty little product enables fans of toasted sandwiches to produce this fine delicacy in a standard pop-up toaster without any of the filling seeping out.

Manning the Toastabag stand in the Show's Automania retail village is super salesman Ray Pearse, who reckons that the product's major component Teflon was the only thing of value to come out of the "trillions of dollars the US spent on space research".

Toastabags are little re-usable flexible pockets made with Teflon into which the sandwiches are placed. Pearse demonstrated how they are then simply inserted into a toaster and "voila, you get a perfectly formed toasted sandwich". The bags come in packs of two for £6 and four packs at £10. Pearse is selling an average of 250 each day at the Show.

The bags last up to 18 months and are easily wiped clean after use. According to Pearse it's the first time Toastabags have appeared at the Motor Show, although it's hard to see much connection with motoring. However, Pearse helpfully suggested: "You can use it in caravans and trailers and if you use your imagination you could probably plug your toaster into a car's cigar lighter."

I didn't notice it. I did notice a long queue for the 'Chamaeleon' phones though!

We used to have those at College ages ago.

But we found all the filling used to drip out the bottom of the bread and cook in the bottom of the bag
