Another insurance claim question
Discussion
Mrs Loto and I were involved in a very bad no fault accident on the A1M on Sunday in which we were hit by another vehicle. Road closed for 2 hrs, air ambulance the full works - both cars written off. Fortunately no serious injuries. Apologies to anyone held up on A1M northbound last Sunday - not my fault!
Other driver has accepted fault in full, all witnessed and police pressing charges.
My insurer has been great and have provided a hire car, got us back home (2hr taxi journey) and I'm currently negotiating settlement value on the written off car. Highways England have sent a bill for recovery and vehicle storage for £360 which my insurer will pay.
The ambulance chasing lawyers called the next day asking if we wanted to make personal injury claims! We are both fine though Mrs Loto is off work as she's suffering shock (retired but doing bank work). I pretty much told the lawyer to do one, though he was keen to tell me to 'take your time - you have three' years - FFS!! No wonder insurance premiums are going up.
We are very much not looking to milk anything and I've already put a deposit on a replacement car. However what else can be legitimately claimed?
Specific case in point, I've taken my private plate off the car which cost £80 - is this a legitimate cost which ought to be recoverable? Anything else?

After a minor non fault accident Adrian Flux passed my details and my full account of what happened. I had told Adrian Flux I wasn't injured and didn't want to claim for personal injury. They were refusing to take no for an answer and basically encouraged me to commit fraud.
After forcefully telling them I didn't want to claim they still forwarded my details and the lawyer also tried to convince me to make a fraudulent claim.

Not far of the call I received, borderline coercion. After forcefully telling them I didn't want to claim they still forwarded my details and the lawyer also tried to convince me to make a fraudulent claim.
I was actually annoyed with LV who must have passed my details and I did wonder about the GDPR. I expect there must be something in the fine print of my insurance contract that permits them to do this.
Anyhow, we are not pursuing any of that malarkly

You are complaining about premiums going up but then asked if there is anything else you can legitimately claim for.Other driver has accepted fault in full, all witnessed and police pressing charges.

In all seriousness it is worth the pair of you seeing the Dr, there might not be something apparent now that could later develop.
You may well have legal cover with your insurance which would be why you were contacted, this is way better than any of the no win no fee places.

Mrs Loto was treated for shock and examined extensively by paramedics at the scene who took cardiographs and the usual stuff and then discharged her. I'm absolutely 100% okay though but it's all recorded both by the police and medics in attendance so in the unlikely event of any latent issues we could always initiate something but I really don't think that's likely.

Bit harsh, the OP has already told the ambulance chasers to FRO, seems they're just looking to make sure they haven't forgotten about any expenses that might be appropriate to charge to the other party, which is fair.
Edit: OP, be prepared that even a "simple" not at fault claim can take a while, I've had one ongoing since April last year and it's still not sorted, and that was a very straightforward "ran into the back of me at traffic lights" job.
Currently at the end of a claim for being rear-ended at a set of lights too, all the way back in March. Had to go through a claims management company (ensure gave me no choice! Ditched them at renewal) and it's the only way I can claim for a hire car, my excess and my lost days of work (2). I've been awarded £712 which covers my losses and a bit for 'inconvenience', the 3rd party's insurer picking up the bill for the physio, car repair and the hire car. Happy with the money but when I saw the paperwork it shows that the claims company is receiving well over £1400 so doubling the claim value, that's where the higher premiums are coming from. If I could have gone direct to their insurer I would but as my car was already 'on the system' with esure I couldn't do so without owing them money crazily. But well done for your attitude and sorry you have to go through it - take care
