Good morning

I have a Fiat Panda 1.1, 09 reg.
For the last 3 days, it's engine starts shaking every now an then especially if I am driving slow for the gear selected. The engine management light come on for a few seconds.

Is this a serious problem.

It could become one if you don't get it sorted out.

Coil pack perhaps? If EML comes on it should store a code so get it read.

Commonest cause: broken or worn out engine mounts.

Sounds like ignition to me too, coil pack. Given it's failing under load.

Can it be sorted by myself or do I need to take it to garage

It hasn't been diagnosed yet. All you're getting here is guesses.

If you knew enough to recognise, diagnose and resolve a misfire then you wouldn't be asking here about the engine shaking.

Get a competent mechanic to deal with it.

Not sure if 1.1 is same as the 1.2 but if so it’s an easy fix. Simple bolt on module on top of the engine on the 1.2

The parts cannon is a very expensive way to fix running problems. Nobody has diagnosed the actual problem yet.

Agreed. But I did suggest, didn’t say it was. It could be a variety of different things
