WTF is this??

Its taken over! I've got a Red Circle in the taskbar with an exclamation mark on it, which I can't get rid of, its installed itself, I've got rid of folders in Program Files and there was an Uninstall file in Add/Remove.

Just about to go to bed so I close all the windows only to discover that my lovely wallpaper of the 05 Sprint ST sat on a road in the US has changed to a Warning, your computer maybe infected screen, and my appearance settings are unavailable!

WTF is this and how the :censored: do I get rid of it??

And as a sidenote, Why are there :censored: who think its acceptable to alter a persons computer and screw things up in an attempt to get them to buy there product! My computer wasn't infected until this f:censored:g program came along.

W:censored:S!

Easiest way is to run an updated spyware program, like ad-aware. Google it.

If that doesn't work post back - it gets serious then.

I've run ad-aware, which claims to have quarantined the files, however I keep getting popups from the rad circle telling me the pc is infected blah blah.

Spybot S+D is just downloading updates before I let that lose.

Another thing I've noticed is that whenever I click on a search/submit button (Google and PH respectively) IE flashes up the SSC security warning.

Run msconfig. and see what programs it runs at startup.
