I have just(well ok not this minute) been advised that my front o/s tyre has a big nail in it. Fortunately, there is precious little tread on it, so it's time to enlist the credit card (again). My PPP Sti is still on the originals. What's the view on the best tyes for the model, obviously for grip & wet weather handling, rather than longevity & low road noise!! No track days envisaged, either...

I have Toyo Proxes T1-S on my MY99 STi RA. I'm quite happy with them. Another option are Goodyear Eagle F1 GDS3 which I "tested" on a friend's old WRX.

I'm sure there are more options...

Can vouch for the GY F1's-on a skyline anyway. Most of the scooby owners, that I know, seem to be happy with the Toyo Proxes-as above,or the Pirelli P-zeros.

Cheers chaps.
I remember Bridgestone SO2's being the best on my last "classic" Impreza, and then they stopped making them...I wasn't so keen on the Toyos I replaced them with, so I'll check out the F1's this time.
Any ideas on a stereo upgrade, by the way?

Goodyear eagles, done 40,000 miles on 3 sets of these, wouldn't have anything else.
