What does Britain do best?
Discussion
An obvious point to start: everything that follows is purely and wholly subjective.
We have mainly lived outside the U.K. for the past twenty five years. There are lots of things the other countries do better or things that annoy me about the UK. However there are also lots of things I miss and think Britain does best.
This will be controversial given the reputation outside the UK, but food. I love lots of foreign food and British food can be very much hit or miss but the best full English breakfasts, pies, roasts, cheeses or cakes and desserts are up there with any other cuisine.
Motorsport, car enthusiasts and trackdays. Having lived in Switzerland where there are no circuits I don’t think we realise how spoilt we are in the UK.
Pubs. Particularly country pubs. It is a beautiful autumn day here and I miss being able to take the dog for a walk and stop off at a proper pub, with a fire, and sit with the dog having a (proper) pint of ale.
Talking of walking: the right to roam. Britain doesn’t just have great countryside, you can also easily explore it on foot.
Humour. Perhaps a cliche but there is something unique about British humour. Perhaps it is our social awkwardness that requires it.
I am sure there are other things.

When I volunteered at a flu clinic a few years back I overheard one woman say to another, "I've arrived 20 minutes early to avoid the wait." Unfortunately for her, it seemed everyone else had too.

Accept people from other countries/faiths to live here

Free healthcare, although not at it's best at the moment.
Car insurance is cheap compared to the USA, even with the recent price hikes.
Many of my friends live in the USA, they envy many things about me living in the UK.
