HWM at Gaydon.
Discussion
I agree, a good drive up to the British Motor Museum today, catching up with some of the team at HWM and of course some fellow owners of Astons’s. Thanks HWM, plus especially pleased to see my “old” V12 Vantage went to a good home after I part exchanged it it HWM, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did Stuart

Many thanks to all at HWM Aston Martin for hosting coffee and rolls at the National Motor Museum, Gaydon today. Much appreciated with the friendly staff from HWM in Walton. Great weather and lovely drive out, could be the last of the year for me. Car thought it was going home!

You have to smile , I bought my Vantage new from there and never heard a word . Meanwhile of course I am regularly inundated with reminders about this and that even as recent as yesterday . Perhaps its similar to Porsche in that I have to preorder a Valkyrie or something

Maybe it was for trade buyers.
Independents seem to buy their parts from HWM.
The least that they could do now, is sent their flying technician, to give you the coffee and rolls that you missed. -: )

It was completely free and included endless tea and coffee and a bacon or dog roll.
In my opinion, HWM are not the type to just pander to the big spenders, and are as welcoming to myself who purchases the odd oil filter as they are to a Tarquin who buys a his n hers Vanquish. They are certainly not judgemental.
I do believe their invites get lost or the system does not work 100% because when talking to Grace, their Marketing Manager, she believed I would have had certain invites that were apparently sent out, but never arrived. I wonder if wording or quantity gets deleted in Spam folders.
Anyway, great morning out with no sales pitch of any kind, just a good look around their own DBX707 if you wanted to, and tea and coffe on the go all morning.
Thanks again to the HWM staff and management.

Glad you enjoyed the event.
Is the Concept (VH) Vantage still on display at the museum ?
A dog roll ? That is a new one on me.
Is it something given to Aston Martin drivers to taste, now that Geely have become a significant shareholder ?
I wouldn't want a retriever dog roll. It always comes back. -

I can’t fault HWM for their personal post-sale service and comms.
For anyone feeling like they’re left out, reach out to them and ask to be included in future correspondence. Running a data-heavy business myself, I know how much GDPR rules can get in the way, but have to be adhered to. You simply may not be on a list that allows them to contact you beyond essential service announcements such as recalls.

... and then a spirited drive along some quiet roads for lunch in Oxford.
Surprised that you were allowed to take your Aston Martin into Oxford.
I hear that the council there is now very touchy, about anyone who even thinks about travelling by car.
It is apparently called a 15 minute City.
Whenever you can drive somewhere in 15 minutes (possibly about 7 miles), you have to walk.
Cannot even use a bicycle, because that failed to be 'net zero' (no one has defined that yet) when it was built (welding).
Scandals are selling well though.
