Hi All, <br/> <br/>Am currently trying to decide what to do with my dreadfully boring C Class Diesel Mercedes. I don't know if I should return to M3 ownership or look at a Tamora/T350C car. <br/> <br/>It won't be a brand new car, but I would like to know who would be good at service and repair within the above region. I have had experience of 1 dealer in the region and it wasn't great, admitedly that was sales and not service and the 2 are not necessarily the same. Also I don't believe they are a dealer anymore.
Your thoughts and comments would be appreciated.

Don't Do It!!!
I have an M3 hire car at the moment whilst my Griff is being repaired......and its 'Orrible.
Get a TVR mate, just turning the ignition over makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end.
David Hendry, Peninsula or Dunsfords are all close. Peninsula will even collect and return your car as will many of the other well known places so distance isn't really a problem.

I live quite close to DH but have used Peninsula for the past couple of years - no probs.

My T350t has just come back from Peninsula after its 12k service, and I couldn't be happier :-)

Autocraft do servicing (just been perusing their website), they're in Wilts. Other than that, there's an independant near Birmingham (can't remember the name!), and TVR Power. There are no other places that I would go to that are any nearer to me.
For my next service, it will be either Autocraft or TVR Power.

Crikey, I've never been quoted anything like that! I tend to pop the car down myself, as an excuse to see whats in the showroom, but when I've enquired about charges for collection and delivery, they've been lots less than that?!TheHobbit said:

I too was shocked with the quote!
Perhaps its because I'm further away up in the Forest, 16 miles North of Gloucester. I don't get an awful lot of time off, so just having to take a few days holiday just to get the car serviced isn't really a viable option. We normally take the Tam up on a Saturday, and Chan picks it back up on the Monday, Penninsular is just too far away to do that unfortunatley

We tend to drop off one saturday, and pick it up the following saturday. It's a choice between taking two cars down to drop off so we have transport back, and vice versa on the pick up, or paying £20 a day for a courtesy car, which isn't bad for a day, but soon adds up over a week!
Still, they're just about the closest dealer for us in reality, County are roughly the same travel time, as are Racing Green.

Peninsula is my choice also, excellant and friendly service...
They charge me £75 each way for collection and delivery, its means my weekend isn't wasted travelling or time out of work. It would cost me nearly that in fuel to drop off and collect myself, plus puts mileage on the car.

Thats the sort of money I was quoted.
