I know it's not popular to use Amazon and they're an awful corporation etc but I am finding myself getting lured into subscribe and save slowly more and more.

Today Mrs UTH wants a few things from the shop including the usual washing capsules and paper towel.
Looking on Amazon, a bulk pack of 6 Plenty rolls and a big value order of 108 capsules, is simply better value than what I would have bought in Sainsbury's. And add the extra % off for subscribing to what I have tried to guess is the right regularity, I can't help feel it's a no brainer to be paying less than I would by going to the shop every time for stuff like this, and if I have timed it properly, we won't run out of it again!

Am I being sold a mug's game here, or does it really make financial sense?

Always seems like a good idea, but I suspect it’s not

Best place I’ve found for bargains like that is places like Homebase or b and q when they are having a clear out

Not Amazon, but I'm using quite a bit of Who Gives a Crap and Smol for household stuff on subscription, I find their products are really good, particularly the WGAC kitchen rolls and loos rolls.

I use it for a couple of things that I can't be bothered to run out of / pick up ahead of running out laugh

Toothpaste for the dog - we use a tube every ~6 weeks, so it's delivered at that frequency. Dolce Gusto coffee pods, it's cheaper per pod to buy in bulk, and I know how many I use so I have 6 boxes (96 capsules) delivered every 3 months..

A few other things I've subscribed to get a slightly cheaper price then cancelled the next day, Amazon don't seem to care..
