3200GT Auto noise

I have done nearly over 800 miles since taking delivery of my 1999 3200GTA. It is awesome, but has already given my a £795 bill for a new starter motor! I have a slight concern about a noise that I can hear from the auto box occassionally. If I am coming off the gas as it is upshifting can hear a low "moan" from the drivetrain. If I am still accelerating this noise is not evident. Bill Mcgrath had the car for 24hrs and the only fault they could find was an weeping oil seal at the back of the box which they are due to replace next week. I suspect that I am hearing the "solenoid clutch" operating. Is this normal? Thoughts please...
