Gents, Been wondering - anyone got any recommendations for pliers for these hose clamps?

They are easy to ping off with a screwdriver and fairly cheap if replacements needed, but a right tt (I found anyway) to put back on with normal pliers. There's a tool for every job so there must be one for these...

There is. Can get it from Halfords I think. I've got one... changed my life.

I bought these - work well

US PRO CLIC-R & CLIC Collar Hose Clip Pliers-Angle Type 1823, Black/Blue https://amzn.eu/d/br63G5Y

What I really need is a big box of clamps if anyone can suggest any.

Ah yes that looks the sort of thing - normal pliers weren't letting them "latch" if that makes sense. Don't know of a box of clamps, but I do know I paid £15 for a pair of nom 22mm dia ones for the EGR connections on my Discovery - so a box would be a fair few quid hehe

If you have a spare pair of pliers use a cutting disc with the grinder and put a V shape about 5mm in from the front on both jaws,
you will then have hose clamp pliers.

Good tip, but sometimes it's worth just spending a tenner on the right ones...

It wouldn't be the right pattern anyway. The correct set opens the clip when used in one direction and then you can turn it around and use it to close the clip as well. The groove is just on one of the jaws.
