Vanquish 2 infotainment issues

I have a 2015 Vanquish and over the weekend, the infotainment system has been misbehaving. It boots up and goes to the menu screen as normal but then crashes after a few seconds and restarts and continues to do this constantly whilst driving. I tried turning the car and leaving it switched off for a couple of hours 3 times in case it just needed to re-set etc but it made no difference.

Has anyone else experienced this or know what the issue might be? Is there anything that I can do myself to fix it or is a trip to an AM dealer the only option? Thanks.

Lots of posts on Facebook etc about this. Looks like some firmware has timed out on AMI II and needs a dealer update.

My 2015 Vanquish has played up a couple of times over the past couple of weeks. I'll ask the Indy next time I'm in Cheshire.

Took my 2014 Vanquish out on Saturday and the infotainment did exactly the same - reboot die reboot due.. due for a service so will get it looked at

So like a recording from Mission Impossible Aston have engineered a self destruct programme necessitating a trip to their dealership and the handing over of even more cash?

These are not old cars & as the fix seems to entail plugging in a laptop the dealers should be offering the fix foc.

Yep 2014 Vanquish and last weekend had exactly the same issue.

Tiresome and will be expecting not to pay through the nose at MD to have this updated.

I took my Vanquish in to AM dealer for 10 years service today. They were going to charge me another 2 hours on top of the 5 i am paying for the service to do this SW update.😡

I told them not to bother.

I do not think i will be back. No goodwill reduced rate just that’s the price.

I don't think I paid anything for the software update they did. It was in for normal servicing and when i collected they just told me they had done an update which may have messed with some settings in the infotainment system such stored radio stations etc and that was that.
Almost certain there was no charge but over a year ago now so might be wrong but don't think so.
