Hi all,

I'm thinking about getting a Rapide as my next daily driver. The only problem is that it would have to live outside.

How do they stand up to being outside all the time? I would probably be looking at one of the older ones around 2011-2013.

If the weather was really bad, I could squeeze it in the garage next to the Vantage, but ideally, it would live outside.

Yes, no problems with mine.

I have a car cover that I use when it's clean also.

Perfect thumbup

How has the car held up in general? Are there any major things to look for? or just normal Aston Martin things?

No issues that I'm aware of.

Had it for 3-4 years now.

My DB9 lives outside, usually under a cover to keep birdpoo and tree debris off. It seems to cope fine.

My XK convertible was the same; the cover being essential to stop the hood going green in wet weather.

Astons may be considered as works of art, but at the end of the day it is a car, not a watercolour.

Any car can live outside, they all go thru the water ingress test as faras i know.

There are a few going thru the auctions now which have vantage like corrosion on door handles and corners of bonnet.

Not sure if thats dmaage related or just being left outside.

I'm just checking, I've had a few fragile cars in the past and I'm just making sure this won't be another one hehe

Everything is looking very positive.
