Just looking to get a car moved from Taunton to Surrey.

Does anyone have any recent experience ? I used Shipley a couple of years ago to move an R8 from Scotland to Surrey, and the company that did the job took the car for a 20 mile joyride whilst in transit, so am a little scarred from the experience.

I see that “AnyVan” now has a car transport service, just wondered if anyone had recommendations for a reliable and secure service.

Thanks in advance!

No personal experience, but Burty’s Recovery & Vehicle Transportation belongs to a friend of a friend and is well regarded. Their email is Burtysrecovery@outlook.com and they are based just North of Bristol, so reasonably well placed. HTH.

LVL Recovery might be able to help. 07845535293 based in Cullompton, which is in Devon.

Taunton is the county town of Somerset. Not sure they'd be happy being called Devonian. wink

Ooops! Was in Exeter when I went to view, hence forgot to update as Somerset! My bad. Thanks for the suggestion.

Any way of you getting a train and driving it back?

Would be a great way to get a feel for it!

Why is this necessary information? Would help if you maybe clarify!

Well, I don't need this clarify to you, it isn't your car.

But since you seem to have taken on the role of the OP spokesperson, I live down here, own a Range Rover and might be able to help.

I know it isn't my car - I may be alone, but with no context your post comes as unnecessarily inquisitive in the light of OP's initial request.

I would suggest 4x4 Automotive.

Used by Swindon Porsche to collect my car, no idea on cost as that was down to Porsche to pay. No issues with their service.

Right. So by asking what sort of car it is and when they need it by is unnecessary?

Jesus wept.

I used Shiply to find someone to bring a shell from North of Manchester to South Wales, they charged me £350

Chatted to the owner driver when he delivered it, really nice guy, he only saw £270 of the charge!

I now have his direct number, he is Bristol based, nice modern truck.

Its 07565 624233 he is on whatsapp as well.
