Evening All, finally got round to doing the hard brake lines on my 04 Monaro. Slight problem, the square mounts that hold the brake and fuel lines to the chassis with the rubbers in the middle, 2 are missing!!

Any ideas where to get replacements from as I've searched everywhere I can think of online with no luck.

I'm thinking about possibly changing them as they are a nightmare to change if ever I need to again, so any ideas or an alternative would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Jamie.

I believe that Walkinshaw Performance have just received a large consignment of spares recently. I would call them first just in case they are now in stock.

I flat patterned them and had some laser cut in stainless steel may have a couple knocking around in the garage . From what I recall there where two sorts one with a tab for riveting/bolting to chassis and one the just wrapped the rubber and hung freely , which is it that you need. I drilled out all the rivets and inserted rivnuts into the chassis then bolted the brackets on

Ah I could be wrong in my thoughts, I assumed they were all riveted in, I think the 2 in question may just be the hanging type. The metal surround on each is no longer there, it's just the inner rubbers around the lines. I might see if I can find a suitable replacement.

I may have those ones as well I think there's one at the front as they go up the chassis and one at the back as in the pic . Towards the back of the floor pan there should be a pressed steel cover going over the pipes with a couple of rubbers wedged inside it . The pressed steel cover has a habit of disintegrating in the British weather so is it that that is missing ?. Mine was still in good condition so had it powdercoated and is now smothered in wax

Steel cover fits over here

Now you've mentioned that cover I think your right, I will have a look in a bit and let you know. 1 is definitely in the area of that cover. My cover was basically air not metal! As soon as I touched it, half of it fell off, then the bit that was left was held on with 2 10mm's that both snapped. Did you get your fuel lines off the shelf or did you make them up, as I might as well do the whole lot.

That’s good to know.
I’m still on the original pipe work and I keep wondering when I should change everything once and for all, but the car keeps passing the Mot.
I do like the thought of a corrosion proof pre made kit. The only thing that puts me off is expecting the kit to arrive undamaged.
I take it all the necessary hardware comes with the kit?

AAS will do it for you I'm sure. They did my fuel lines in stainless.

The kit came well packaged and is complete in as much as hydraulic pipe work with end fittings all ready to fit in place but there are no other fittings/rubbers/brackets

I’m thinking about that as well, the trouble is I’m also thinking about a replacement radiator as that’s original too.
I made the mistake of checking the date codes on the tyres, the fronts are 9yrs and the rears are 7yrs.
I believe it might get expensive next year!

Looks like one of these pipe trays is needed on my VZ Maloo. It isn't in bad shape but the OCD bug is biting me.

Any help on sourcing a stainless brake and fuel line kit would be appreciated. Winter project is a lotta luv on the belly side.
