Hi all. Quick one. My wife got done for overstaying in a car park a couple of weeks back. Fair enough but I did a bit of digging (normally I'd just accept the fact that she spent too long gassing to her friend). So normally it's a 6 hour stay but reduced to 2 hours when there's a football match on (she stayed 3 hours and didnt know there was a game on when she arrived). But... She's got a blue badge which according to the rules of the car park allow her to stay for 4 hours even on match days. Told the parking company this and theyve rejected this on the grounds she should have gone to a little kiosk and shown them her blue badge beforehand. Obviously she had no idea to do this as she didn't know it was a match day for the local football team.

I'm tempted to tell them to suck my balls. Within my rights to do that (in nicer language)? No idea how my wife is meant to know there's a football game on at 3 when she turns up and parks in the disabled spots outside M&S at 3pm. It's a non-league side so it's not as if there are tens of thousands of people mulling around an hour beforehand!!!

I'd post this on Pepipoo forums and get some advice from there, but sounds like the parking company are being overly harsh!

Let them take it to court, can't see it going anywhere!

If it is a parking thing just for the shop go back and speak to the manager and they should have the power to get it cancelled. If not stick it on pepipoo and someone will have a template to use

Pepipoo is closing down very soon - use https://www.ftla.uk/. It's the same people, just on a more stable platform.
