Mrs Fungle and I are looking for a cheap and cheerful city break this November, preferably flying from LBA.

We've spent an awful lot on travel this year so this is more 3* than 5*.

Open minded to location but ideally it's somewhere interesting.

I would go with Krakow, the Christmas market is great in the square (late November) Salt mine trip is fantastic. Loads of places to eat and drink. Not too expensive either. We went with friends last year and really enjoyed it.

Berlin?

Great city but not sure if they fly to there from Leeds Bradford.

The cheapest European city break I have done so far is the Albanian capital Tirana, completely different to any other capital city I have been to in Europe and you can grab a large beer for as little as £1.30, decent coffee is about £1 and lunch can be had for about £5 for something decent in the centre.

I have recently returned from Bucharest, Romania and although its not as cheap as Tirana its an interesting and very lively city with a fantastic food & drink scene. Prices in general are less that Budapest/ Krakow/Prague etc with a more happening nightlife scene.
