I like films set in space and im trying to hunt out anything I might not have noticed. Here are the ones in my collection anything I missed or you want to suggest?

Gravity
Interstellar
Moon
Passengers
The Martian
Silent Running
Outland
Stowaway
The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy
2001: A Space Odyssey
2010: The Year We Make Contact

Although not really a horror fan
Event Horizon
Alien, Aliens

Series:
Star Wars
Star Trek
The Expanse

Check out the 'Dust' channel on YouTube. It curates (mostly) short indy sci-fi films. Some of which are excellent.

Also... The love, death and robots series on Netflix has some good space based shorts.

Saturn 3.
Solaris (original film),
Serenity.

Really they are not all films beginning with S because Space starts with S.

Galaxy Quest (See, not S)
Spaceballs (damn)

Maybe we should have a 'films with sausage in the title' thread.

I'd argue that a film set on a planet or a moon is not actually set "in outer space".

I like the idea of a film called "Interstella". Alcohol has indeed been found in interstellar dust clouds.

Darkstar 1974

"Bomb#20: In the beginning, there was darkness. And the darkness was without form, and void.
Boiler: What the hell is he talking about?
Bomb#20: And in addition to the darkness there was also me. And I moved upon the face of the darkness. And I saw that I was alone. Let there be light."

I liked it. There's also Sunshine by Danny Boyle and Ad Astra with Brad Pitt.
I too like the odd space film

I kind of agree. However things like Moon and The Martian have enough space suits, habitats, rovers etc to keep it relevant. Total Recall although partiallty set on Mars isn't really a space film. Likewise Deep Impact only has a small element of space, the rest if set on earth.

I have seen Sunshine doesn't it get a bit weird, almost dipping into horror at the end

Ad Astra I am going to order, if I find a few more films I can go for the 4 for £8 deal

Battlestar Galactica (2004 series)

go and watch it right now, in my opinion the second best ever sci-fi series after TNG

That's right, it does. Almost the same vein as Event Horizon.
Last one from me; Life. Ryan Reynolds.
