Can anyone tell me if the S2 short roof leaks?
I am looking to purchase a short roof car and want to know if I need to buy one that comes with the hard top for the winter.
Also can anyone confirm the road fund license cost for a S2 111S. I thought I read somewhere its £125 because of its low emisions.
thanks in advance

Yup, that's right, cars registerd after 1st March 2001 with co2 emissions between 151 and 165 g/km have an annual tax of £125 presently. (Elise S2 111S produces 163 g/km). If you car is registered before 1st March 2001 then it's £170 annually.
Cheers,
Richard.

Mine liked like a sieve from the front of the cant rails, the water would drop onto the sill. It must have been a common issue as later models now have a piece of rubber at the top of each windscreen pillar to catch the drips and channel them away.

Mine leaks from the passanger side. In heavy-ish rain water builds up and drip, drip, drips onto the sill. Pretty annoying - but a towel sorts it out. I have a hard top for the winter. Short roof is easier to live with and most don't leak.

one or two drips if left out overnight/allday in heavy rain - right in centre by rear view mirror. otherwise nothing.
take care to flip out the rubber bits at the top of each pillar after fitting either hard or soft top.
not a drip from hard top (but MUCH NOISIER).

After the Storm last night, 2 drops of water on the drivers side sile. Not bad considering the amount of rain, or the ferocity of it
