Please help, I'm pulling (if I had any) hair out! frown

I cannot get my music usb to be recognised/played via source.

I've played around with various settings including tagging, naming conventions, root, folders, bit rates etc but no joy.

I'm using a 64Gb usb flash drive.

Any pointer on what I need to do would be appreciated.

Thanks

MC

Make sure the USB stick is FAT32 formatted and not exFAT, which usb sticks tend to be.

Thanks bunchofkeys, you're a legend! I downloaded some software and converted USB to FAT32 and the car now recognises the flash drive.

Quick question - can I simply now copy over onto the USB drive all my music folders so that I have root, music folder, mp3 files? Or do I have to stick all the mp3 files directly onto the root?

Thanks

You're welcome. And you should be able to use folder now.

It uses folders and you can navigate through them. Subfolders too, I have a 32GB stick of music sorted into folders by Artist them Albums.

You can also get a 30 pin iPod interface to bluetooth adapter for these cars, which is dead handy.

This is the thing I used in my XK. I don't have the Audio jack, so can't use the bluetooth audio streaming stick I had from my previous car.

It's not cheap, but it works flawlessly.
