62 plate 1 series 2.0 118D msport, what do I need to know?

My trusty diesel Mondeo is beginning to fail, and I'm not ready for a new new car just yet. I've been looking at approved used for around 20k but I've seen a nice looking BMW 1 series locally for sale privately while i was looking for something else. 62 plate diesel auto, are there any known issues and what are the costs to fix them? I'm happy to budget a couple of £k for an unexpected bill.
