Diagnostic K

Got back from the drive to spain, then went on a track day! Thats what you call using it!

Only problem after the track day (apart from the tyres & Pads) is I'm now getting Diagnostic K, which seems to indicate the fuel gauge sensor has packed up - I say that because I ended the day with 60 litres in the tank...

Any tips/suggestions on where to give it a kick, or is it just a replace job, if so, can I do it or is a dealer job.....

Maybe the connector for the fuel level sensor has come off this is located behind the hinged cover on top of the fuel tank.

It had indeed come off!! Thanks very much, I didn't even know that flap was there....very grateful.
