….so its been nearly 20yrs since I last picked up a golf club in anger. I’ve decided to get back in the swing of it. So booked a lesson for this Friday & will be dusting off the rust from my clubs this week.

I used to play off 16 & on a good day could hit the ball pretty well. I have a feeling I am going to be very frustrated & will give up quickly much as I want to rediscover a reasonable standard.

So any tips, thoughts, I can apply to stick with it.

So had a 1 hour lesson today, under clear blue skies & 24c which was a pleasure in itself.

I was somewhat surprised to find I could still actually connect a club head with a ball. By the end of the hour I was hitting 5-woods of the deck as well as I ever had & was chipping of tight lies with a SW better than I had in the past. More than a few duff shots in the hour, but nicely surprised that generally it wasn’t too bad considering,

I can actually feel it this evening though! Another hour scheduled for Wednesday.

Think I’m safe to head out on a course!
