This programme was on Channel 4 again last night. It's on their streaming service if you didn't catch it. So moving. More of the films are available on the IWM website.

I'll give that a look, I've been doing WW1 letters home with a few of my classes, might make a good watch for them for some more context.

Not WW1 but I'm sure the kids will get a kick out of seeing these men and women so many miles from home talking to their loved ones.

Yup, it's all the context of war and people not much older than themselves making unthinkable sacrifices.
