'Bill' from Eon-Next - Zero Balance 2 years after selling

Evening All,
Received a zero balance bill from Eon-Next, 2 years after selling the house the bill is for. Redirected to the temporary address, my Sisters, where I stayed for a year!. I closed the account for the old address, still have the emails etc. and spent a year with no energy supplier in my name. I presume the new owner of the house has set up accounts with energy suppliers as she is a respectable looking, middle aged mother, so not liable to be a master energy thief!
Set up a new account in March of this year when I finally moved into this place, with Eon-Next, where they asked for details of previous addresses! DD set up etc etc! Just seems stupid after all this time and I will now have to waste time calling them tomorrow, just to be on the safe side, Useless t

Isn't that so they can do a credit check on you?
