£75 for Halfords wiper blades?
Discussion
Went into Halfords to buy some wiper blades for my 18 year old BMW 330i and thought the Halfords ones looked like they had the lowest profile (i.e. the best, according to me). Asked the chap for a price check and it was over £70 for the pair. I bought a Bosch set for 20-something instead.
It's mad that they're so expensive these days. The old caged metal type used to be £5 to £10 per blade.

Yeah had a similar experience a couple of months back, asked the guy at the "parts counter" if anyone actually bought the Halfords ones when the Bosch was a third of the price he just looked a bit sheepish and said no! Really don't understand what Halfords are doing here.
If they're too much for someone like me who likes to change wiper blades often and prefers the premium brand then they've missed the target. I hope for their sake they've got an 80% margin on them and could reel it back a bit and price them like Bosch blades. Surely they cannot possibly cost that much to manufacturer!

Same here. Normally use Amazon, in fact I have just replaced the rear wiper on our CX5 for £8. Bosch too.Gassing Station | Home Mechanics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
