Idle control valve connector
Discussion
A bit of a problem...........
On my '89 S2 2.9, the wires on the 2 pin connector for the idle control valve have broken too close to the connector body to repair. The connector appears to be a sealed unit that is likely to break into a thousand pieces if tampered with!
I have tried TVR car parts and local ford dealer to get just the connector, but its looking like I'm going to have to buy a whole new section of loom (which may not be relevant other than the connector). Has anyone had the same problem, if so did they manage to get a new connector or was it a trip to the scrap yard?
It seems a bit strange to me that you can buy the throttle pot connector but not the idle control valve connector!?! Any thoughs?
