...just how low can they go...

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202311103...

Doesn't look too shabby either, mileage aside. And the batteries can definitely take high miles.

Just need to watch out for the JLR electrics...

What other car could you get that's just four years old, 400BHP and less than a Dacia Duster...

That is an awful lot of miles.

Interested to hear the learned on battery status.

Cars have come a long way since the 60s and are not scrap at 100k anymore. It’s not a high mileage really never mind an awful lot of miles. It’s been used for what it was made for

Maybe being utterly hideous has something to do with it. Zero Jaguar of old elegance, not sure whether it is an SUV MPV Notchback hatch or just a jelly brick with decade old styling cues, and that garish pseudo-retro grille to front it all. Great motor and battery donor for an EV conversion of something worthy.

See, I disagree strongly with that. Cars used to be ste as you say in the 60s. They then gradually became better and better, until a peak of about 2004/2005 ish. These were the last of the ‘spannerable’ cars. They then started to become ridiculously over complicated and fragile. Which brings us to where we are now. You can almost guarantee obsolescence by parts available after 5 years on many. I mean, what does ‘sealed for life’ mean on an auto gearbox? The dealer wouldn’t sell you any parts to fix it anyway, just sell you a new box for £10k. I’ll get off my soapbox…

They are excellent cars. Lovely inside and the best electric car I've driven hands down.

Those wheels with the mahoosive side profiles look brilliant.

Many had battery issues once upon a time.

get an insurance quote before you go any further - seems to be insane figures being quoted on ev's right now - like renewal doubling from 1k to 2k

Obviously not what was meant otherwise this whole thread would have no interest at all.

Car passes 100k isn't really a thread is it.

Car is charged every three days for four years is a bit more of a headline no? laugh

Oh, I'll preempt 'it was probably topped up overnight' too.

Yes. But again, interesting thread because it's a little unusual.

Interesting to see how the tech works at this end of the scale.

Insane value.

400bhp, luxurious and you can fill the tank for about 7 quid (200-250 miles).

Some EVs not all.

Bit like saying all cars off the rangey thread.

As for the ipace… they look like something WH Smith would sell smile

Out of interest, just got a quote on that very car, 50 something, 9 years ncb, milton keynes area, on a drive, no commuting, it nerd, protected, 5k miles a year, 1k miles business use. Best price is £663 which isn't too terrible i suppose.

the policy for my L322 and the wife's F55 Cooper-s for the pair of us was about £650 last April - but no doubt will be going up next time.

100k miles is no issue at all, that battery will have lost single digit % in range, especially if charged at home!

That's good to hear.

I'd have expected a much higher deg based on most other battery technology.

Those performance figures don't seem right.

395bhp but a top speed lower than a Citroen Saxo VTS - surely a typo!?
