LgG3 83 or 85” QN800C QLED 8K

I’m looking for a large screen tv, having had my 55” for the best part of 10yrs.
I had narrowed it down to the LG C3 or G3 77 or even 83. I’ve put blue tape on the wall and either models/sizes will look acceptable. I’ve been doing my typical evening mooch and have just come across the Samsung 85 inch QN800C Neo QLED 8K HDR Smart TV at a similar price to the G3.
Do any of you guys have any knowledge to which is the better of the 3 models?
As far as I know, the C3 77 has a better processor than the larger G3. You are paying extra for the G3`s slimline wall mounted option. Now I’ve just found the Samsung 8k, it’s put another option to choose from. I’m well aware that there’s no 8k and most feel like it’s a waste of money at this time but you are paying for the upscaling of media and, if like me, it’s another 10yr TV, so this tv will be ready for mainstream 8k.
I was looking at going to Richer Sounds tomorrow but would appreciate you guys (hopefully) educated view on it.

That’s pretty much what I’ve always done. Bought a flagship model, then held on to it for a good few years. Tech has really moved on since my Panasonic 55, so it’s time to treat myself to an early Xmas present! I’m just a little lost on the best latest tech. Awesome screen.

Same processor as the C3, but a better panel and heatsink (brighter for longer).
Both of them well ahead of the Samsung in quality (but also on price).
If sticking with LG, the secret sauce of the G3 is the 'MLA' panel, which is only available up to 77. If the focus is picture quality, stay at 77.
Equivalent Samsung is the S90C (equal to C3) or the s95C (G3 equal).
Don't bother with 8K, its vapourware - has been for the last 5 years, won't change anytime soon.
The Sony is an equally good shout, but virtually nothing to choose between any of the big hitters. Lg arguably the better all rounder.
All TVs (including Pana) are nip and tuck in the PQ department. None of the reviewers can agree on one as the outright best, which is the same every year! If I was chasing PQ alone, it'd be between the Pana MZ2000 and the A95L, but both have other compromises.

Thanks, very helpful. I think I'll get the G3 77 if the picture is better with that MLA screen. Would have proffered the 83 but it's over a grand more expensive and if the screen isn't as good, it makes the decision easier. Not really. If it has 8k, fine. But don't pay extra for it. Maybe future gaming possibilities but I guess you maybe waiting 4, 5, 6 years before there will actually be much 8k content to watch. Only Samsung seem to be pushing the tech at the moment to try and stand out from other manufacturers.
