Something interesting under 50 g/km C02
Discussion
I have started working for a new company that has a policy where you only receive a car allowance if you drive a vehicle emitting less than 50 g/km CO2.
I currently own a beautiful Emerald Green 272bhp 4x4 Skoda Superb Estate in the top spec, L&K. It has everything you could ever want and more.
Frustratingly, I only bought it about 4 months ago for £30k (over the odds, but I wanted to keep it for the long term), and I have received a PX value of £18k and a Motorway valuation of £20,850.
I can stretch to about an £8k top-up, so I should have about £29k for the new car.
The simple choice is the Skoda Superb plug-in hybrid, but I wonder if anyone has any other suggestions? I have owned a V90 T8 in the past and did not like the R-Design seats but would consider an Inscription model, though I'm struggling to find one with reasonable miles within my budget. I am reluctant to go fully electric as it seems like the used prices are dropping even quicker than my current car has.
The final option I have is to sell up and take a company car. It's electric only and offers a fairly limited choice, but I could get a RWD Polestar or Model Y for about £35 per month, along with the loss of my £6k car allowance.
A couple of requirements that the car must have: a boot large enough for a Labrador-sized dog (so it must be a hatch type), adaptive cruise control, and Android Auto. Some nice-to-haves are a heated windscreen and a sunroof.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah I hadn't really considered that as an option.
I suppose because it feels like if I am going to do that, I would be better off taking an electric company car, selling the Skoda and putting the money in the bank. The tax and insurance alone are more than the £35 per month I would pay in BIK.
But I also like owning my own car... less concerned about the dog and kid making it a mess.
