Buying BTC via Binance
Discussion
Hi
I want to send a very small amount of money specifically by binance btc. I have an account with binance but can't find any way of actually buying the btc.
I have tried again and again with my visa card but it just won't work. I had a chat with binance and they say it's my CC company that is not allowing the transaction to go through, even though when I try visa generates a OTP.
I can't do bank transfer either. You can only buy BTC via binance as a P2P transaction, and those companies selling won't accept bank transfer from UK....and some have a minimum transaction if £1000 which is over ten times more than I want to send.
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks

Some banks have a block on any crypto currency spend. Especially when its going to china
I'll answer your curiosity. If you're planning on short term "trading" your success rate and experience will be similar to attempting to make a profit from online betting. And they offer much simpler account crediting, withdrawals and tax rules.

It's OK, they haven't really hacked into your computer and have a video of you "enjoying" yourself to porn videos that they will send to your address book if you don't pay in BTC. No, not looking to trade at all. I just need to send a payment via btc

Some banks have banned binance transactions. Try Coinbase. Or use another bank.
My coinbase sign up has gone around in circles with them taking ages to verify, given up on themSome places won't accept HSBC payments OP. Santander has worked for me in the past.

Use revolut
Can you explain a bit more please? I spent ages setting up my binance account only to realise that I can't actually get any money into my binance account via any of my credit cards or bank transfer....I don't want to have the same wasted journey with revolut. Can I
1) Set up a revolut account and transfer money in from a UK bank?
2) As a UK resident purchase btc through my revolut account and store it with them? I can't be bothered to buy a separate encrypted wallet thingy because we're talking about a very small amount of money
3) Transfer btc from revolut account to third party?
Appreciate your help, thanks

You can load money on to a revolut card and use that to purchase crypto on the exchanges getting around the banks blocking the sites. you can have disposable revolut cards if you wish
Would you happen to know whether Revolut card definitely works with Binance? Or recommend an exchange that it definitely works with? Thanks very much
I believe Binance has been sanctioned by the FCA in the UK, so it will be difficult to get GBP into a Binance account.
Coinbase are regulated by the FCA so its easier to pay GBP into an account there. Your own bank may put hurdles in the way of such payments, but that's more to do with their fraud processes.

Yes, saw that in the news the other day. Not surprising that UK banks/CC companies won't do business with them.Gassing Station | Finance | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
