Heads up.
With their prices already being more competitive than black circles, they have further discounts this month.
Filled up with unleaded whilst there this morning and saved 30p/ litre over the local shell garage.

How do they work? do you have to order them in and wait for a call? im not a member but need a set of 4 so tempted to join if they are a good price.

They have stock of popular sizes, just order and pay for them , then they will offer you various timed fitting times.
4 tyres will get £100 discount , 2 tyres is £50 off .

Deals are often good but they’re a pain in the arse if you move away from the OE size.

I sized up from a 245 to a 255 due to better availability and at first they refused to fit the tyres. I had to sign some extra paperwork to say that I too responsibility for any issues.

That's tempting. I've been wanting to switch to Michelin on my car but resisted temptation since there is still a lot of tread left. But if Costco have their £100 deal on, I'm not sure I can resists any longer.

Only issue is, they won't fit my tyres unless I take the wheels in which is a pain!

Michelin are doing cash back on tyres this month. I got £50 back on four 18" PS4S. Would have been £100 on 19".

It's not exclusive to Costco.

They also do Bridgestone tyres….we generally get ours there: they always feel pretty professional & do a decent job.
Pretty good at ordering them in within a few days if your size is not in stock.

They will also swap winter/summer wheels quite cheaply (last time was under £35 a set) IF you bought the tyres from them. Handy for when I CBA to get outside to do it!

Naturally you end up ambling through the store whilst they do it, so budget another £100+ for stuff you didn’t need hehe Or be strong and just have a massive jacket potato lunch….

I’ve always found Costco to take more care with my wheels than anywhere else. Wherever you go their is a risk and I think Costco are probably one of the most caring. Obviously all depends on the person.

Thats the problem, just seems to boil down to luck. Thing is at the moment the chains are offering way better prices for a set of 4 than my local indie's by around £200 so its quite a big difference.

I've never had an alloy damaged by whatever random fitter I use, be it a large chain or small independent.

Will be person dependent and at any retail place will have their share of good and bad employees.
