So much want there. One of those, or a 997 Cup or RSR, got to be my favourites.
Hunter66 on here has one of these. I followed him at Donington and assumed it was a GT2 because the thing accellerates to hard. On slicks, I can confirm it is very good on the brakes too (I nearly had to take to the grass at one point. )

There were two prototypes in 1999 ... from there up to 2003 there were around 130 ? cars in total with manual transmissions called the GT3R and the RSR followed in 2004 with the sequential box.
I owned a 2002 car and found it a complicated car to use. All main components were lifed ... engines in theory were around 40 hour re-builds (racing hours), starting could be an issue and cooling could be a problem with no cooling fans and they had a habit of dumping coolant.
I took mine to Donington and was short shifting to keep with the noise limits. I had already spoken with Control and they had agreed to show me a black flag at the end of the pit straight when I approached the noise limit. At lunchtime since I was the loudest car on track, Control invited me in the afternoon to ignore the limits because they had some new sound gear that they wanted to test. Unfortunately I couldn't ... a cylinder head gasket had gone and the cooling system was pressurising and I was venting coolant (caught early thank goodness!).

Wow stunning.
This and a 997 RSR in Flying Lizards colours are as good as they get.
These were rumoured to have an (illegal?) engine map in the ECU for rain activated when you switched on the lights.
Surprised they are still up keeping the Yukos colours.
I do love a bit of motorsport cheat inside info. This and a 997 RSR in Flying Lizards colours are as good as they get.

Like the NASCAR builders who refused to paint car interiors white or grey when drivers complained about the heat; "you can hide more st in a black interior".

Close, but no cigar, and not actually cheating, just a hugely skilful interpretation of the rule book :This and a 997 RSR in Flying Lizards colours are as good as they get.
